Today, November 4, 2020, we're all waiting for results of the ongoing US election.
It seems everyone on Twitter is trying to do some mental gymnastics to try to understand exactly how a "blue shift" or a "red shift" works. So I came up with this simple sample (ie, not real data) Sankey chart to show how that might be visually communicated on a state-by-state or county basis.
